Ride-share apps such as Uber and Lyft operate across North Carolina's larger cities, and public transit varies from extensive to minimal.

I’d heard about Bluebird for a while, and now I completely understand the hype β€” this is my new favorite restaurant. From the moment we sat down, the service was exceptional. We were looking around for a purse clip, and before we even asked, someone noticed and had one for us in seconds. The manager was equally attentive β€” when he saw an empty cocktail glass, he came right over to offer a refill, and when we declined, he surprised us with a complimentary glass of wine to pair with our lamb. That kind of thoughtful, unprompted hospitality is rare. We’d also arrived a full 30 minutes early for our reservation, fully expecting to wait at the bar, but they sat us immediately without a second thought. And the food itself was incredible β€” every dish was cooked and plated beautifully, with the lamb and beef tartare being our favorites. Between the atmosphere, food and the genuinely warm, attentive staff, Bluebird has set a new bar. We’ll absolutely be back very soon!

We wanted to find a special place to celebrate my wife’s birthday whilst visiting our daughter in Chapel Hill. From service to presentation to taste, Bluebird was excellent French cuisine. Full bar. Nice wine list. Highly recommend.

I’ve been here a few times; the atmosphere is always lovely, and the dishes are quite delicious. I’ve only been for dinner, but a friend keeps telling me how good the weekend brunch is, so it’s definitely on my list to try next!

Had a wonderful dining experience at Bluebird. Thoughtfully crafted dishes, warm hospitality, and a welcoming atmosphere made for a memorable evening. Every detail, from the food to the service, reflected a commitment to quality and consistency. A great addition to the Chapel Hill dining scene, and definitely a place worth visiting again.

Superlative Sunday brunch! Our table of eight was welcomed by the host and hostess and shown to the perfect table for us to celebrate friendships – and the upcoming wedding of friends. The wait staff was keenly attentive to our group ranging in age from young adulthood to age 94. Each of our orders was a treat to our eyes – and flavorful. We chose Croque Madame, omelets, two kinds of quiche, French toast with fresh fruit, and Trout Almondine – and each of us loved our choice. There are good wine lists and bar lists -- and desserts! But we resisted temptation at brunch. We had made our reservation thru Amex Global Access by Resy and had the gracious attention of the General Manager and the Director of Operations. Bluebird French bistro is an asset to the Meadowmont community and to Chapel Hill, NC. Thank you to the team!
